Digital Strategist

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic integrated marketing team working on some of the most beloved brands in the natural foods industry. As digital strategist, you’ll partner with the Sr. Strategist, Brand / Digital to help ensure high performance of all things digital, with a special focus on integrated and content marketing campaigns. Your day-to-day will include assessing client marketing activities and making strategic recommendations, analyzing digital results across campaigns, and pulling together and synthesizing integrated reporting. Tasks will include everything from paid digital strategy direction to social content strategy to email marketing to strengthening SEO.

This position helps drive digital brand awareness and engagement, online shopping, web traffic, and more, and recommends channel priorities, spend, consumer journeys, and creative strategies in support of client objectives. This role also directs paid social strategies and manages partners who execute paid campaigns. The ideal candidate is obsessive about details, thrives on social trends, data analytics, and working collaboratively with an integrated team.

  • Contribute to creation of paid social strategy
    • Recommend channel priorities, spend, targeting, and creative strategies in support of client objectives
    • Inform conversion strategies, CTA best practices and analysis for digital campaigns, across all channels, from emails to social and web
    • Manage paid strategy for agency content
    • Manage paid media execution partner
    • Manage agency relationship with social ad reps
  • Lead integrated analysis and reporting
    • Analyze metrics across multiple channels in support of digital campaigns
    • Track and report on social community performance with an eye on optimization
    • Lead integrated reporting efforts, using analytics to measure success, spot trends and provide recommendations for optimization, both on paid and organic content
  • Contribute to integrated marketing campaign development
    • Implement digital audits, analyze results, deliver initial findings and recommend strategies
    • Leverage best practices and cultural insights to make data-driven decisions and provide context for our recommendations and work
    • Confidently contribute creative ideas that consider the whole consumer journey and generate results
    • Drive campaign development using apps and agency tools; monitor and report to team on performance within timelines and budgets
    • Work with the internal and external client teams to understand, shape, and implement cross-collaborative social and content marketing
    • Contribute to and/or drive website and e-news projects
    • Act as back-up support for community management functions
  • Continuously drive strategic thinking forward
    • Strategically evaluate communications and content marketing programs and apply key learnings
    • Explore new ways to engage with consumers and identify new social networks, content strategies, or mechanisms to reach and engage relevant target audiences
    • Execute research related to social media platform and advertising updates, and new tools and applications
  • Jump in to help at all level of tasks

Bring Your Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in digital, social media, and content marketing with strategic knowledge of paid social
  • Customer service experience, comfortable fielding client requests and responds in a timely manner.
  • Expertise in paid social planning; competent in social ads managers and Google Adwords
  • Competence with social platform insights, Google Analytics and other analytics platforms
  • Experience integrating partner vendors (couponing, webinars, social monitoring providers, etc.)
  • Experience with e-commerce, display pay-per-click, and developing channels a plus
  • Experience with consumer research a plus
  • Working understanding of SEO / SEM best practices
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and best practices
  • Experience with WordPress preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, journalism, digital media or related field with course work in marketing analysis and statistics preferred
