Digital Marketing Director

Lead Impactful Digital Initiatives

We’re looking for a digital marketing director passionate about the power of digital and content marketing to strengthen brands, build community and drive sales.

Maxwell is a woman-owned, integrated marketing agency serving national consumer brands in food & beverage, wellness, outdoor, hospitality and tourism. Among its clients include Bob’s Red Mill, Dave’s Killer Bread, Herb Pharm, Mountain House and Travel Oregon.  Grow Your Career

  • Lead transformational work that considers the whole digital journey from awareness to purchase
  • Oversee paid digital strategy, helping clients take full advantage of ecommerce potential as well as awareness building and community growth
  • Sell-in creative consumer engagement strategies that activate fans, support successful product and market launches and deepen values storytelling
  • Establish project management systems that help keep programs on track and integrate with the agency’s creative team
  • Provide a thoughtful eye on performance monitoring and reporting, adding insights and spotting opportunity
  • Be the agency’s voice on digital marketing trends and best practices, providing both client counsel and agency content
  • Contribute to new business opportunities for Maxwell and annual planning strategies for our clients
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee the work of valued partner experts in content, SEO and interactive

 Lead with Heart

  • Define digital strategies, KPIs and budgets
  • Deliver digital campaign strategy and analysis
  • Oversee and help optimized paid social media and digital strategy
  • Map the digital consumer journey and partner on best-in-class content strategy
  • Stay ahead of evolving consumer behavior, social media channels and digital trends
  • Join forces to put the agency’s best foot forward in new business pursuits
  • Nurture and build a small team
  • Shape and share the agency’s digital point of view

 Bring Your Experience

  • 7-10+ years of digital marketing experience and 2+ years of leadership and management
  • 2-3 years working in an agency environment is a plus
  • Experience in consumer marketing required, food-specific a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media, PR, advertising or journalism preferred
  • Overall comfort with both MAC and PC computer systems
  • Expert knowledge of all social channels, as well as social e-commerce and social monitoring tools
  • Strong understanding of SEO and Google Analytics, CMS and ESPs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices and service providers
  • A background in publishing, agency and/or CPG is icing on the cake
